Negative of Nature

Technique: watercolor on paper 300 g/m2

Size: A3, 120×80 cm

Guidelines: Experiment related to the “Nature” topic for the open air in Skoki organized by the University of Arts in Poznań for international students.

Process:

Inspired by the process of developing photographs in a darkroom. I left sheets of paper in random places outside for 12 hours allowing leaves, branches, insects to fall on them.

Pigment accumulated at the edge between objects and paper. It created white negative fields.
