Shape of light
Technique: Watercolor with masking fluid on paper 300 g/m2
Size: 100×60 cm, A3 with A4 sketches
Guidelines: Analysis of light shapes in the forest
Process:
The works were created in multiple stages. Starting with complex watercolors, which were later simplified or more deeply analyzed fragmentarily.
Magnification was also physical – in the form of increasing formats.
Light was observed and represented in terms of the shapes it received by dozens of factors and objects encountered along the way by the sun. The resultant shapes of light spots were the entry of an unobstructed tunnel climbing several hundred meters upward. Therefore, in some works, in order to emphasize this aspect of the light spots they were marked with a masking fluid.
