Shape of light
Technique: Watercolor with masking fluid on paper 300 g/m2
Size: 80×120 cm with A3 sketches
Guidelines: Analysis of light shapes in the forest
The artworks were created in many stages. I started with the basic watercolor sketches, which were later simplified or deeply analyzed in detail.
The subject was not only enlarged but also the format.
The light was observed and presented in terms of shapes created by several dozen factors and objects encountered by the sun along the way. The final figure was the end of an unrestricted tunnel climbing several hundred meters up. Therefore, in some works, to emphasize this aspect, the spots of light were marked with masking fluid. It is used precisely in watercolors because of its impermeability to pigment and water to the paper.
